Jock Trail parkrun cancelled due to rain and course conditions

The Jock Trail parkrun scheduled for Saturday, 19 September 2026, has been cancelled due to the impact of rain and wet conditions on the course. While running in nature is one of the things that makes the Jock Trail parkrun special, the weather can also present challenges. Rain can make sections of the course wet, slippery and difficult to navigate, creating conditions that may not be suitable for participants, volunteers and everyone involved in the event.

The decision to cancel the run has been taken with the safety of participants and volunteers in mind. Although runners may be disappointed to miss their Saturday morning outing, ensuring that the course is safe remains a priority.

 The Jock Trail parkrun team appreciates the continued support and understanding of the local running community. The beauty of the route and its natural surroundings will remain and runners will have an opportunity to return when conditions are more favourable.
