Project Artour, led by dynamic entrepreneur Sfeziwe Mkhabela, who is from Dayizenza, has become a notable force in the South African manufacturing landscape. Based in Nelspruit the company is making waves by delivering high-quality, mass-produced professional apparel for businesses and institutions across sectors.

From personal protective equipment (PPE) and industrial clothing to hotel, hospitality and medical health attire, Project Artour ensures exceptional craftsmanship and reliability in every piece. Recognising the importance of branding, the company also offers in-house embroidery, seamlessly integrating bespoke logos and designs directly onto garments. “Since we manufacture everything from scratch, it made sense to handle the branding ourselves as well,” explains Mkhabela.

Mkhabela’s journey began with a childhood passion for fashion and dressing up. After formal studies in clothing production, she returned and launched a luxury wear line in Nelspruit. However, she soon realised the need to diversify and expand. “People here are loyal to their usual suppliers or stick to what’s already in their wardrobe. That’s when I saw the potential in mass production,” she recalls.

Today, Project Artour operates three distinct divisions: luxury wear, mass production and a training school. As an accredited institution, the company is committed to youth empowerment. Last year alone, Project Artour trained and graduated 25 students many of whom have since joined the company’s in-house team. This year, another 25 students are set to benefit from the programme.

“Our vision is to create opportunities for young people,” says Mkhabela. “We train them and where possible, we absorb them into our growing team. But we’re also seeking partners and stakeholders to help us expand and offer jobs to even more aspiring professionals.”

Currently, Project Artour employs seven staff members in its office, with plans for further expansion. With a modern factory and a robust training pipeline, the business is well-positioned to serve as both a reliable supplier for professional apparel and a catalyst for youth development in the region.

Given the opportunity Project Artour attends exhibits hoping to secure new partnerships that will drive sustainable growth for the business and the community alike.

Project Artour stands as a shining example of entrepreneurship and empowerment manufacturing quality, building careers and enriching its community, one garment at a time.
